beautiful student writing

I am reading students’ papers right now. Here are two lines from one student’s piece:

“I suppose death can be beautiful; you may not see it at first, but there is an art to slipping away into the unknown where only memory can fish you back up.”

“…there was a beauty in that too. How we had to just let go of it. How we could clearly see and feel the year ending, the song was winding down and getting to its last few lines, and we knew it was going to stop, that it was going to die, but we didn’t pause to mourn it, we just kept on.”

I am blown away every single day. I can’t get over that I get to be a part of this.
